The Biology Department hosts a full-featured Microscopy center in Winston Hall that serves not only our campus community but scientists from the southeast US. The department employs a full-time director who fulfills the role of resident professional imaging expert, as well as mentor, and teacher. Our facility has an array of powerful imaging microscopes and workstations. The facility is well equipped with an epi-flourescence stereo microscope, powerful upright light microscope, scanning electron microscope, 3-D inverted microscope, and a confocal microscopy suite.
