Pro Humanitate, Campus Kitchen

by on September 22, 2014

Biology students and faculty have been integral to Campus Kitchen, an organization that “rescues” food and fresh produce to be distributed as meals for the needy.  Campus kitchen fosters outreach opportunities to “educate the student body and the campus community on local and national issues like food justice and sustainability initiatives.”  The article entitled “A new home for Campus Kitchen” features two Biology majors, Orianna Wright and David Hale, who have given much to the effort during their undergraduate career.

Campus Kitchen is the opportunity for Pro Humanitate to extend beyond the Wake Forest campus and bridge together the community. It’s a reason to get off campus and serve those around us.”
