Red Plus Red Equals Green?

The Winston Salem Journal recognized Department of Biology outreach efforts directed by Gloria Muday and Carole Browne engaging WFU undergraduates to become teachers of science classes in the local schools.  WFU students Kathleen Quigley (PhD. candidate) and Ashlyn Whitlock (senior) were also interviewed.

Students from Wake Forest’s biology classes are teaming up with their counterparts at area middle schools and high schools for a lesson in genetics that’s part science, part sleuth.
Over the course of two weeks, college students will enter about 12 local public school classrooms to teach basic science concepts through hands-on experimentation.
