I graduated from Winthrop University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Genomics at Wake Forest University. I enjoy running, rock climbing, and playing music.
Fadi Marayati
I am from Aleppo, Syria. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology at the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon. I moved to Greensboro, North Carolina, in 2012 and received my Master of Science in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where I was interested in looking at the oviposition dynamics of Phlebotomus papatasi sand flies, the arthropod vector of the leishmania parasite (Pubmed ID: PMC4696112). When not in lab, I enjoy attending basketball games, attempting photography, and exploring new food cultures.
