Welcome to the Savanna and Grassland Ecology group (SAGE)

Mike in Serengeti

We are interested in the evolutionary and ecological implications of plant-animal interactions in grasslands and savannas.  While most of our research takes place in the Serengeti of Tanzania check out the projects tab to read more about our group.

By the way, we like the name SAGE not only because it reminds us of an important and widespread shrub (common sagebrush – Artemisia tridentata), but also because it is the name of a company that makes some of the best fly rods out there!
